Irish Beauty Blog Awards

Last Thursday I attended the Irish Beauty Blog Awards. I was blown away when I was nominated for the Best New Blog award. Although I didn’t win it was incredible  to be a finalist and to go to such a lovely event. It was held in the famous Lilles Bordello. Inside there was a chocolate fountain, cupcake stands, the most delicious finger food, champagne and full of fabulous people wearing fashionable outfits. AND the goodie bags were AMAZING, full of fab beauty  products, I wore a dress by Needle and Thread and I LOVE it! This is the second event I have wore a Needle and Thread dress to, I think I found my new go to brand! I love how simple and sweet it is. I felt very pretty and Summery wearing it! And look at the beading on the shoulders, stunning!

I don’t know if I say this often but thank you to each and every one of you readers. I still find it incredible that there are people out three who read this who are not just my mother! Love to you all! xxx

Everyday Makeup Routine

Hello everyone! I haven’t done a beauty post here in aagges so I though why not show you all the make up products I use every day a . A typical day involves getting up early doing my make up then going to college until four and probably going for food, coffee or shopping after college, so I need my make up to last a looong time.

To start with I use a primer. My favourite at the moment is The Porefessional by Benefit cosmetics. The foundation I use at the moment may be my favourite ever YSL Fusion Foundation is light on the skin and lasts FOREVER! Then concealers. Under my eyes I use Bare Minerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener and on imperfections I use Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. It’s like industrial strength concealer. For bronzer and highlighter I use Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar bronze and glow. This is truly an amazing product, expensive but worth it. My everyday eye-shadow palette is by Bobbi Brown. Unfortunatly it was this Christmas’s limited edition so it’s not still available. It was basically their warm eye shadow palatte with six neutral  shades with four matte shades and two metallic. On my brows I use a Mac duo thats not available anymore either! It has a shade for brows and then an under brow highlighter. Then over that I use Benefit Gimme Brow to thicken and keep my brows in place. The powder I use is Rimmel Stay Matte powder. Its a really good inexpensive powder. Then my blush pallette is by Hourglass. I got this before christmas and I havent wanted to looked at another blush since. There are three stunning shades. I did a more extensive review in my November Favourites  if you want to read more. Last steps are mascara, I’m using Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Mascara. Its a good mascara, not an amazing one though I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing it. The other Bare Minerals Mascara Lash Domination is better. And finally for lips I use Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter. It’s moisturising for during the day but has enough colour to transition to night.

Phew that was a lot. I never really thought about quiet how many products I use every single day! I love putting my make up on in the morning, it’s one of the things that gets me out of bed! I hope you enjoyed this post and maybe want to try out one or two of these products now! Until next time!

A Birthday at Patrick Guilbaud

Hello beautiful people! I hope none of you are hungry because spoiler alert, this post post is full of yummy food pics! It was my little brothers 21st birthday so my family and I went to Patrick Guilbaud to celebrate! Its the perfect restaurant for a special occasion. They food is exquisite, the decor is light and airy with modern Irish art on the walls.

From the moment we arrived our meal was made special with the best and most attentive service I have ever experienced. Whatever we needed was brought to us before we knew we wanted it. Everything we were served as well as tasting exquisite looked like a piece or art! I had Croquettes of Suckling Pig, Fried Quail Egg, Foie Gras, Pancetta,Red Pepper Mostardo to start then Fillet of Irish Beef and Roast Foie Gras, Madeira and Truffle Jus for main and Contemporary Dark Chocolate Tart, Tonka Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert! And although the food is as fancy as it sounds there was nothing stuffy about dining there, the atmosphere was relaxed and as there is only one sitting you can stay and enjoy the evening for as long as you want. If you have a special occasion coming up or just really want to treat yourself I highly recommend you take a trip to try it out!
