Christmas in Pictures!

PicMonkey Collage 2 Hello everyone! I hope you all had an absolutly lovely Christmas! I had a very hectic holiday! I left Dublin to spend the holidays at home. It was so peaceful for a few days before the festivities began. I had two Christmases, one with each side of te family! I also had a wedding and a ball one day after the other so I’m still recovering from that! I have eaten more than the whole rest of the year combined, received amazing gifts and spent time with the whole family! I should have taken more pictures and wrote a blog post or two but I was too busy enjoying myself and being a little lazy! But New Years is just around the corner and if we have no bad habits we have no resolutions to make!

PicMonkey Collage 1 PicMonkey Collage 3PicMonkey Collage 4Next time I post here it will be 2015! Oh my where has the year gone! I’ll hopefully have a new years post up soon but till then enjoy the festivities! See you all next year! It has been an amazing one!

Tea Haul!

IMG_3067 2Ok I admit it. I am a tea addict. If you didn’t know this about me you will by the end of this post! Now I love your standard cup of black tea with a drop of milk, but lately I have gotten really into herbal and caffeine free tea. I had a matcha tea phase a couple of months ago and now I’m in love with two new brands of tea; Teapigs and The Bluebird Tea Co.

IMG_3071 2 IMG_3073 2When I first went to The Bluebird Tea Co a whole new world was opened to me. The world of festive teas! I admit I almost cried with excitement. Combining my love for Christmas and tea? It seemed nothing short of a miracle! Needless to say I made an order at once! I chose; Christmas Cake, Mulled Wine, Snowball and Gingerbread Chai. They ALL taste amazing! I love each and every one but I think my favourite is Snowball. It tastes of chocolate, marshmallow and coconut and actually has little marshmallow in with the tea leaves! The Bluebird Tea Co is based in Brighton and I’d love to visit someday as they do tea blending workshops!

I have wanted to try Teapigs for AGES now. And I finally found a great variety for sale in the Merrion Shopping Centre in Dublin. Unfourtunalty the shop didn’t stock any of Teapigs festive teas but I tried some other blends instead! I bought Peppermint tea and Chamomile tea and then little sample versions of Teapigs Chai  tea and Popcorn tea. I love how they sell samples of their tea as they have so many unique flavours that I want to try! You can buy a little pack of two teabags as way of an introduction! I love the Chamomile tea especially. It has full chamomile flowers in it and won a Great Taste Award! I shall definitely be repurchasing soon! Coming up to exams the Chamomile tea was a real lifesaver!

If there are any tea lovers out there give these brands a go! You wont be disappointed!

December Lush Haul!

IMG_3087Hello everyone! I receantly made a trip to Lush and I thought I’d show you what I picked up! A very generous person gave me a gift voucher for Lush for my birthday and I just got around to using it!

IMG_3091 2I picked up some festive limited editions, new products and old favourites! I bought three bath bombs and a bath melt all part of the Christmas range! Golden Wonder is the pretty bath bomb shaped as a gift with a bow! It is the most exciting bath bomb EVER! It rattles when you shake it and there is  lot of glitter and other surprises inside! Its smells of lovely uplifting oranges! Then there is Luxury Lush Pud. This has a multitude of colour that it releases and smells of ylang ylang and lavender. My absolute favourite bath bomb however is Cinders! It crackles when dropped in the bath and is warming and smells of spices! Lastly in this category is Snow Angel bath melt! I havent tried this before. A bath melt is more moisturising than  bath bomb. It doest really fizz it just melts away an leaves the bath beautiful and soft! Snow Angel has lots of glitter in it too and smells of marzipan!

IMG_3097IMG_3094 2IMG_3119Next we have Mask of Magnamity an amazing face mask I spoke about in my first ever post! Then Buche de Noel facial cleanser which is so wonderful it was featured in my November favourites!

Now for three new products I had never tried before! Firstly Jason and the Argon Oil. This is a shampoo bar. It’s a lovely alternative to bottled shampoo. You rub it in your hair and lather it up! Lush has a wide range of these shampoo bars to suit all hair types!

Lastly are two relatively new massage bars Pearl and Shades of Earl Grey. I love using these after a shower as a moisturizer. Pearl has  lovely scent the same as Rose Jam and Earl Grey, surprise surprise smells like earl grey tea!

I hope you all enjoyed seeing what I picked up from Lush, hope you’re all looking forward to Christmas!

November Favourites

IMG_3018November is over already and the Christmas season has officially begun! You know what that mean?! Time for November Favourites! November has flown by in a blur of birthday celebrations and exam revision but I still have some lovely favourites to show you this month!

My first favourite is this beautiful Joanne Hynes Collar. It is one of the most beautiful things I own! I wear it over loads of jumpers during winter. It’s perfect to turn day wear to a party ready ensemble in an instant!

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is my skins winter lifesaver. It’s a cult product that winds up in most peoples beauty collections! Put this oil on at night and you will actually wake up with smoother, radiant and refreshed skin. Drop everything and go buy this now!

Chanel No. 5. This perfume is an old favourite of mine and reminds me of my grandmother! I was given this bottle as a birthday gift and I think its only available from the airport as it is a sort of travel version. It is perfect for carrying around in my handbag! The set also came with two refills for when it runs out!

I finally have Mermaid Perfume! I have wanted this for SO long! As soon as I saw the name of the perfume I needed it! It has a lovely, light, intoxicating scent of orange blossom flowers. It’s more of a beachy, summer scent but I couldn’t resist trying it out! Their website describes the secnt as mysterious, romantic and ethereal.

Philosophy’s Hope in a Jar is my favourite day time moisturizer. I got a sample of it last Winter and fell in love with it. It smells a little weird but it makes my skin look amazing so I can get over that! Make up sits really well on it too.

Randy Butter. One of my all time favourite Lush products (and that’s saying something) It smells like Christmas desert mixed with christmassy alcohol. It’s a soap that comes in a tub and you just lather it all over you in the shower!

Buche de Noel is another Christmas product from Lush that they bring out every year! It’s a facial cleanser full of cocoa butter, almonds, brandy and cranberries. It’s a very gentle exfoliatior that also soothes the skin and leaves it so soft. Its one of the best smelling things from Lush!

IMG_3015  IMG_3008IMG_3006Hourglass have brought out the most beautiful limited edition Ambiant Lighting Blush Palette. It contains two of their most popular shades of blush and one limited edition blush only available in this palette! Oh wow, where to begin. They act as a highlighter as well as a blush and make your skin look radiant and gives depth where other blushes can give the skin a flat look. Each shade suits every skin tone and the packaging is just magnificent! Hurry and pick this up while you still can!

Aesop’s Parsley Seed Facial Mask: This is a very deep purifying mask. It really gets down into your pores to bring out any impurities lurking within! Perfect for congested skin! A big plus is that it doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight after using it which a lot of deep purifying masks can do. It also brightens up my complexion so a must have for the party season!

Moschino Phone Case: How cute is this bunny rabbit phone case! I love it! I actually can’t put into words how adorable I find this case! I wanted it ever since it came out and it was like fate when I found it in the Marvel Room of Brow Thomas!
